- Additional Work
Recorded the official demonstration audio for viola grading repertoire at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Selected for the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s “Elite Talent Support Program” in 2023, where he gave a solo recital at the Changsha Concert Hall.

Bio
Born in Hunan in 2002, Jinglin began studying the violin at age 11 under the guidance of his mother, Ms. Ni Jin(Principal Violist of the Hunan Symphony Orchestra), and the renowned violin pedagogue Mr. Shen Xiaofang. He graduated in 2024 from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor’s degree, studying under Prof. Nian Liu and Yucheng Shi. During his undergraduate studies, he formed the Mercury String Quartet, mentored by Professor Jensen Horn-Sin Lam. Zhou is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at The Juilliard School in the States with a full scholarship, studying under Mr. Samuel Rhodes.
- Achievements
· An originally composed cadenza for Stamitz Viola Concerto in D Major won the inaugural Viola Concerto Cadenza Competition at the Shanghai
Conservatory of Music. The work was published in Classical Viola Concertos:
Original Cadenzas by Shanghai Education Press.
· First Prize Winner at the 31st Barletta International Young Musician Competition (Italy).
· Grand Prize Winner at the Rocky Mountain Spring International Music Competition (Canada) — the highest honor awarded in the competition.
· First Prize Winner at the 23rd Valsesia Musica International Competition (Italy).
· First Prize Winner in the Viola Open Class at Hong Kong International String Competition.
· Gold Medalist in the Chamber Music Category at the Schubert International Music Competition.
· Second Prize Winner at the Northern International Music Competition (Sweden).
- Performances & Invitations
Accepted with a scholarship to the Heifetz International Music Institute, a prestigious global program for talented young musicians.
Participated in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Opera Project (2023) with a full scholarship, performing La Bohème in a nationwide tour across Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Aichi) and at the Matsumoto International Music Festival.
Invited with the Mercury Quartet to the International Chamber Music Seminar at The Tianjin Juilliard School.
Performed as Principal Violist with the "One Future" World Orchestra at the Vienna Musikverein (2018).
Collaborated with the Hunan University of Industry Technology Symphony Orchestra, performing Hindemith’s Der Schwanendreher at the Hunan Youth Arts Festival (2023).
